·2Step ACT – On behalf of Gold Star Mom Tracy LaPorte in recognition of his son Sgt. Adam “2Step” Huckstep. Currently Rental Car Companies can rent to anyone without a requirement to run drivers licences to ensure they are value. Upon returning from Iraq and preparing for Afghanistan, SGT. - Walter Scott Notification Act of 2017 (Police Transparency, Accountability, & Change)- THIS BILL DIED AND NEEDS TO BE REINTRODUCED. Legislative request to Senator Mitch McConnell requesting First Reading of this bill and movement to Assigned Committee, when reintroduced. This bill would create the first federally-mandated database of police shootings, helping to get needed data. Such data when used properly, can help identify problems, trends, etc. within Law Enforcement Agencies and serve to help our nation avoid possible deaths like George Floyd in Minnesota. - Submitted May 2020 | Status: VICTORY

- Texas Version of the - Walter Scott Notification Act (Police Transparency, Accountability, & Change) Legislative request to Governor Abbott and Texas House / Senate to amend HB 1036. Although Texas has taken a major initial step with HB 1036, to lead the way, what’s lacking is the state law doesn't include any measures to enforce police reporting of officer-involved shootings, therefore allowing it to remain in the self-reporting stage. In Texas, such a bill would create the first state-mandated database of police shootings, with an enforcement clause attached. The bill that would be the first state-mandated database of police shootings, helping to get needed data with an enforcement clause. Such data when used properly, can help identify problems, trends, etc. within Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the state and serve to help Texas avoid possible deaths like George Floyd in Minnesota. - Submitted June 2020 | Status: Pending SIGN PETITION
